Game guide
Candidates: 2–30
Enter 2 to 30 candidate names and check the list before starting. Each name becomes a marble that rolls through alternating sloped lanes. Timed gates interrupt the downhill flow, so a marble near the front can wait while others catch up. Follow the turns and gate openings rather than treating an early lead as the result.
Who wins, and is the winner chosen in advance? The first marble to actually cross the finish wins. The winner is not predetermined: the LittleJS and Box2D simulation resolves the rolling, collisions and gate encounters during the race. This is an original switchback course, separate from Marble Drop Race and its larger candidate field.
Can I use the result to set a turn order? Wait for the complete ranking after the race, then read every candidate in finish order. Agree before starting whether you need only the winner or the whole order, and what would justify a replay. A marble that looks ahead on an upper lane has not necessarily finished ahead.
Can I use pictures instead of plain marbles? Optional custom head images can be added through the candidate editor and are stored locally in this browser. Names are enough to play. Use images participants are comfortable sharing, and check the visible names and pictures before downloading or posting a result clip.
Does a physics race guarantee equal chances? No. Outcomes are not certified equal-probability draws; starting positions, collisions and gate timing can influence the order. Use the race for agreed informal decisions, not audited prize selection. For a clearer view on a small screen, try fewer candidates or fullscreen.

Before you start
Review the candidate list before starting. Each game has its own capacity; a large saved preset may contain more names than this game accepts.
Results and fairness
These are entertainment simulations. Outcomes are not certified equal-probability draws or audited selections. Agree on the meaning of a result before playing.
Names, images and privacy
The candidate editor stores names and custom images in this browser. Clear the list or browser site data to remove them. A shared or downloaded clip can reveal the names and images shown on screen.
Technical help
Use a current browser with JavaScript and canvas support. If a game is slow, reduce the candidate count. Recording support varies by browser; downloaded clips currently contain video only.
